Former Liverpool forward Djibril Cissé says the captain of Equatorial Guinea Emilio Nsue has so far proven to be the most clinical forward in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports .
34 year old Nsue who can also play as a right back is presently the top scorer in the tournament with five goals, more remarkable is the fact that it came from just seven shots on target at the tournament.
His goals played a long way in helping his team advance to the round of 16 as group winners ahead of Nigeria and Ivory Coast. They will take on Guinea in the round of 16.
Reacting to his feat, former France international forward Cissé who was born in France to Ivorian parents and also of Guinean descent, praised the former Spain youth international saying he has so far proven himself as the most natural and clinical of all the forwards at the tournament.
” Nsue has so far been the standout for me with his run considering the few chances he has had and the one his team creates. Not many thought about him before the tournament. We expect it to be Osimhen and the others but it is Nsue who has proven to be the most clinical so far”, he said in an interview on Canal+
