Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro has made his starting lineup for today’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16 clash against Cameroon, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

As we reported yesterday, the Portuguese has stuck with the 3-4-3 system that the team has used in their last two games but has altered the starting lineup from the team that defeated Guinea-Bissau 1-0 in their final group game.

In his bid to reinstate some players who were key in the 1-0 win over the host Ivory Coast, the coach made five changes to the lineup for today’s game by bringing back the quartet of William Troost-Ekong, Zaidu Sanusi, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman back into the starting lineup.

He also made a change in the flanks with Moses Simon coming in for Samuel Chukwueze who has started the last two games. Simon will start on the right where he will be tasked with defensive duties in the hope that he will match his man of the match award picked up in the previous game.
