Osimhen Tops List Of Six Super Eagles Players Who Could Miss World Cup Qualifiers Game Against South Africa

The senior national team of Nigeria is presently sweating on the fitness of six senior players in the build up to the world cup qualifiers in June against South Africa and Benin Republic respectively, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Newly appointed coach of the team Finidi George is expected to name a 25 man list from the list of 35 players who were sent preliminary invitation ahead of the game in Uyo and Cote d’Ivoire respectively.

However he is delaying making the list public as the inclusion of six players isn’t guarantee yet until after this weekend’s game in Europe, per what we exclusively gathered from sources at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Victor Osimhen tops the list of players battling to be fit for the games, and the other players are Samuel Chukwueze and William Troost-Ekong while the trio of Moses Simon, Bruno Onyemaechi and Zaidu Sanusi are certain to miss the games.

Osimhen, Ekong and Chukwueze are awaiting for the go ahead from the medical department of their respective teams in order to be available for the games. If they are not passed fit, the coach will hand a call up to other players notably among them is a winger playing in the Nigeria Football League.
