The father of hot in demand 17 year old striker George Osrzehmen Ilenikhena has opened the door for his son to pick the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of France, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

George was Born in Lagos but grew up in France making him eligible for both countries, however he is yet to be capped by any of the countries at any level but that might change soon after his explosive season for Antwerp in Belgium.

Signed in the summer form second division French side Amiens SC, he has hit 14 goals this season in all competitions including the winner in a historic 3-2 win over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. That form has led to talks about a possible move in the summer with Inter Milan reportedly keen on his services.

His international future is one that is up for grabs and in the words of a source close to the father of the teen forward, his desire is to see him wear the colors of the senior national team of Nigeria in the nearest future.

” The father of George is like most people back home. His desire is to his son play for Nigeria and he is keen on making it happen however you have to also consider what the boy wants as well. In the future I believe it is more of playing for Super Eagles than France”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com in an interview.
