The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has started the search for a new coach for the U20 team following the decision to promote the former coach of the team Ladan Bosso to the U23s, OwnGoalNigeria.comunderstands.
Bosso who led the Nigerian team to the quarter final of the last U20 World Cup have been at the helm since 2020, and will now step up to a new role with the NFF keen on addressing the failure of the team to qualify for the last two Olympic games.
Bosso is seen as the coach who can end the wait, and the job will also afford him the chance to graduate some of the players who played for him at the U20 level to the next stage.
Already he has been informed about the situation, and the NFF will declare the position vacant for interested coaches to apply for the role with the team set to resume camping for the WAFU tournament in two months time.
