The participation of Nigeria international forward Terem Moffi for Ligue 1 side Nice from the start of next season has been thrown into doubt, OwngoalNigeria.com reports.
Nice are currently at their training camp for the final lap of preparation ahead of yhe start of Ligue 1, but their Nigerian forward hasn’t been involved in the preparations due to an injury.
We gathered that the 25 year old picked up a knock which will likely keep him out for a considerable length of time, effectively ruling him out for the start of the season.
Moffi who has scored a total of 20 goals in 52 games since his move from fellow Ligue 1 side Lorient. His absence will no doubt dent their hopes of starting the season on a high.
However it could open the door for another Nigerian in Victor Orakpo to be a part of the first team set-up. The 18 year old who joined the team six months ago, but has already made it to the first team after a rush of goals for the youth team.
