The camp of Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku have picked the likeliest date for the transfer of the striker to Italian Serie A side Napoli, where is he expected to replace Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Lukaku has been picked as the striker to replace Osimhen at Napoli by new coach Antonio Conte, who has made it clear that the Nigerian is free to leave in respect to an agreement reached before he was appointed as coach.
PSG who are heavily linked with a move for the forward are not willing to match Napoli’s valuation of the player, and it has brought about a stalemate in the future of the Nigerian, but Conte seems to have moved on from the forward.
According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport reported today, a three year deal has been agreed with Lukaku with a member to his camp revealing that he is expected to complete the move on the 7th of August, which will coincide with Osimhen’s likely departure from the club as it is the only issue holding the deal up.
Lukaku is presently training alone and waiting for the greenlight from Conte to join up with the team with Chelsea also approving his exit.
