Head coach of Manchester City Pep Guardiola has provided the context under which Nigeria international winger Samuel Chukwueze put up a spectacular show for AC Milan in their 3-2 win over his team in a pre season game, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chukwueze whipped in two very good balls from the right to set up Lorenzo Colombo for his brace in what can he said to be a very good performance for the Paulo Fonseca led team.

Fonseca who replaced Stefano Pioli weeks after the end of last season was pleased with his team’s display, the same cannot be said about his counterpart at Manchester City who pointed out the difference in the tie.

He began, “We were better than the first game and some of the players made a step forward.

“It was really good in general, everyone was really good against a senior Champions League team like AC Milan.

“It was a step forward, no injuries, minutes in our legs, another test and now we fly to another game in a few days.”

Guardiola while reacting to the manner which his team conceded twice from balls by Chukwueze in identical fashion lamented the absence of his senior defenders who would have probably made the difference : “I would have preferred to bring Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Kyle Walker, all the guys the people are waiting for but the schedule is the schedule and it would not be possible for them to come here”.
