The future of Victor Osimhen is far from resolved according to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio in the wake of reports linking the Nigerian with a move to Chelsea in a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku moving in the other direction to Napoli, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Di Marzio said there have been tension in the relationship between PSG and Napoli after the rejection of their offer of €200m for both Osimhen and Kvara Kvaratskhelia.
Since then PSG have not submitted a new offer for Osimhen only but Napoli expects it will arrive anytime soon, the situation he said opened the door for Chelsea to make a loan proposal which has been rejected by Napoli , because of an option to buy clause rather than an obligation to buy.
In the event that Chelsea agree to a deal with an obligation to buy, Napoli say they value Lukaku at €30m hence will demand an additional €70m from Chelsea aside add ons, which includes qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and rising the cost to the €120m Napoli are demanding.
However it’s not expected to be a straightforward deal and any decision will have to be until the middle of August, when Napoli would have returned from their third and final camp ahead of the start of next season.
