The agent of Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen says the viral talks of a loan move to Chelsea in a swap deal that will see Romelu Lukaku join Napoli is fake news, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The move which is said to be advancing between both parties owing to the desires of the players involved to move in the opposite direction is expected to reach a conclusion, before the 7th of August.
While Chelsea are demanding a loan deal with an option to buy, Napoli want it to be an obligation to buy in the event that the Blues make it to the UEFA Champions League next season. A truce hasn’t been reached on what will happen after the loan, hence the logjam in the move.
Reacting to the news the agent of the Nigerian Roberto Calenda took to social media platform X formerly known as Twitter to term the entire news as fake, and demanded for respect to be shown to the Nigerian who finished as top scorer in Napoli’s title win, the third in their entire history.
” I read about imaginative exchanges with Victor sent here and there as if he were a package to be delivered quickly. This package, however, is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in Napoli’s history. Respect and stop with the fake news!!!! “, he posted on his handle.
