23  year old Werder Bremen winger Justin Njinmah says he is closely being watched by the Nigeria national team selectors after his breakthrough season for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Eligible for both Nigeria and Germany Njinmah caught the eyes last season with six goals and two assists in his debut season in the German top division.

Yet to be capped by any of the above nations, Njinmah in an interview with Kicker said although he hasn’t heard from both federations but he is open to playing for Nigeria, where he claims they are monitoring his progress.

“So it was pretty clear to me that I had no chance. Nevertheless, I know that they have me on their radar”, he told Kicker as reported by Fussballtransfers

“I haven’t had a discussion with anyone from the German staff yet, but of course that’s a big goal of mine that I hope I can achieve.

“I’m being watched there (Nigeria) too, but I can’t make a decision until I get an invitation. Then I’d have to weigh things up really carefully,” he concluded.
