He has now gotten his wish was is to return to international football as head coach after his spell as coach of England from 2006 to 2007.

It means the race for who will be the next coach of the senior national team of Nigeria expected to be announced later this week is now between the duo of Chelle and Saintfeit.

However just like we exclusively reported, Chelle is the leading favorite for the role vacated by Finidi George after a poor performance in the world cup qualifiers games against South Africa and Benin Republic respectively.

Nigeria were beaten 1-2 by Benin Republic, a few days after drawing 1-1 with South Africa at home. It saw them drop to 5th in their group..
