Eric Chelle Not Losing Sleep Over Super Eagles Coaching Job After Impressing President Of NFF

One of the front runner for the job of the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle is confident of his chances of clinching the job ahead of others interested in the job, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chelle is in a straight battle with Tom Saintfeit for the job of the senior national team of Nigeria with Herve Renard salary demands ruling him out of the job, while Steve McClaren opt to pick up the head coach role of the Jamaica national team.

One among the two is likely to be named as the coach , but recent reports has it that Saintfeit is favoured for the job, and will likely be announced soon with the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers games against Benin Republic and Rwanda respectively draws near.

Despite that Chelle who met with the NFF president Ibrahim Musa Gusau in France, unlike Saintfeit who didn’t meet with the president is confident that he did enough during his meeting with Gusau to earn the job.

Sources close to the former coach of Mali says he has other options lined up including a role with French Ligue 1 side Lens in the event that he isn’t picked as the coach.
