Former coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr have sounded a note of warning to new coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Bruno Labbadia ahead of their AFCON 2025 clash in Uyo, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Rohr who was in charge of the Super Eagles for almost seven years will lead Benin Republic on the 7th against Nigeria hoping for another win like they did in the world cup qualifiers, which was their first win over Nigeria in their history.
Labbadia who will be having his baptism of fire on the hot seat of the Super Eagles is a fellow German like Rohr, and his country man while praising his appointment sounded a note of warning to him on what to expect when he lead the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles will engage Rwanda away from home on the 10th of September, three days after the game against Benin Republic at home.
“He’s a very good coach, I hope he’s well treated by the NFF and Nigerian fans. He has very good experience in the Bundesliga, I hope he quickly finds his way in Nigeria, which is a different environment.”
“I wish him all the best, but not against us (Benin),” he stated.
