One name that was conspicuously missing from the squad of Galatasaray for their league game against Gaziantep is Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osimhen who joined the team on a loan deal from Napoli made his debut last weekend against Rizespor and had an assist as they run out 5-0 winners in front of their home fans.
Many expected him to keep his spot in the team for today’s game, but he wasn’t listed in the matchday squad for the game , and a reason has been provided for his absence.
The game is a rescheduled game and as at the time of the original game, the Nigerian wasn’t officially registered as a player for the Turkish side hence making him ineligible for the game according to the regulations of the Turkish FA.
He is however expected to be back in the matchday squad for the derby against Fenerbahce by the weekend barring any injury or fitness issue. A game that will see him go up against his international teammate in Bright Osayi-Samuel.
