25 year old Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji was the star for Czech Republic side Sparta Praha with a goal and an assist as they begin their UEFA Champions League campaign with 3-0 win over Austrian side RB Salzburg, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Olatunji put his side two goals up in the 42 minute with a smart finish in the box , and he crowned his man of the match performance with a sublime assist to Qazim Laçi in the 58th minute. Five minutes later he was subbed off to a thunderous applause from the home fans.
As expected he picked up the man of the match award in what was his debut game in the prestigious tournament. He only joined the team last summer from fellow Czech Republic side Slovan Liberec.
Since joining the club he has scored 12 goals with four assists in 60 games, while operating as a centre forward or on either flanks.
