The Europa League defending champions Atalanta have moved two points clear at the top of the Serie A after a hard fought 2-1 win over AC Milan, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria international forward Ademola Lookman scores a far post header a few minutes to end of the game for his 8th goal of the season in 12 games this season. He also boast of four assists.
Atalanta went into the game knowing that a win will take them to the top of the table for at least 48 hours, and they will only be knocked off if Napoli defeated Lazio on Sunday. A game which Napoli will be gunning to avenge the 3-1 defeat inflicted on them by the same opponent.
They needed a late header from Lookman to win the game, and also see them go nine games without a defeat, a new club record for the Gian Piero Gasperini led side.
On Tuesday they will return to action in the UEFA Champions League , where they will take on defending champions Real Madrid, who defeated them in the European Super Cup just before the start of the season.
