Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen is interested in a move to Italian Serie A giants Juventus in the summer, when his loan deal with Galatasary expires, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
According to Il Mattino newspaper, Osimhen’s interest in the move is due to his desire to reunite with ex Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, who played a huge role in his decision to join fellow Serie A rivals Napoli.
Osimhen will return to Napoli at the expiration of his loan deal in Turkey, but he is expected to depart the club almost immediately and all terms for a smooth exit has been agreed between his camp and the hierarchy of the club.
According to Il Mattino, Juventus can activate a €75m clause to sign the Nigerian forward at the end of the season, but other sources, such as Goal.com, claim that Osimhen’s clause is only valid for clubs outside Serie A.
Rai Sport reported in September that Osimhen has another clause worth €90m, which foreign clubs can activate in the January transfer window. However, Galatasaray are confident that the 2022-23 top goalscorer in Serie A will remain at the club until June.
