Head coach of Turkish side Fenerbahçe Jose Mourinho is finding it hard to believe that Nigeria international defender Bright Osayi-Samuel rejected the latest offer to extend his deal at the club, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osayi-Samuel will be out of contract in the summer with less than six months left to run in his current deal at the club, meaning he is free to agree a deal with clubs outside Turkey.
Fenerbahçe have been pushing to get the 27 year old to sign improved terms and stay at the club for another four years, but he has so far rejected all the proposals tabled to him leaving Mourinho in a state of disbelief.
Mourinho was key in the decision to tempt the right back with a deal that has a better financial package than previous offers, but Osayi-Samuel turned his back on the offer insisting on a summer move away when his contract expires.
He is said to be on the radar of several teams in England, and sees the summer as his last big chance to secure a move back to England due to his age. The fact that he will be free from his contract will also appeal to clubs not just in England.
