Tanzania based goalkeeper Amass Obasogie made the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming world cup qualifiers games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Obasogie who has been a part of the team for the past one year while at Nigeria Premier Football League side Bendel Insurance moved to Ethiopian side Fasil Kenema last year, before moving to Tanzanian side Singida SC in February.

He is expected to be the backup to first choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali due to the expected absence of Maduka Okoye who was preferred ahead of him in the final game of the AFCON qualifiers in the absence of Nwabali.

His aim is to force his way into the set-up of new coach Eric Chelle and possibly make his long awaited debut for the team in one of the games in the month of March.
