Victor Osimhen proved his usefulness to Galatasary once again with a brace in the quarter final of the Turkish Cup which handed them a 2-1 win over Fenerbahce, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
It took just ten minutes for him to open scoring when he rifled home a thunderous drive from inside the box. He made it two afterwards from the spot in the 27th minute with a low effort which crept in despite the goalkeeper getting his hands to it.
It brings to an end the dream of Jose Mourinho who is keen to win his first trophy for the Turkish side before the end of the season.
The brace took his goal count to 28 this season with 20 coming in the league and six in the Europa League before today’s brace. More remarkably is the fact that he has scored 11 goals in his last seven games for club and country, after scoring three times for Nigeria during the international break.
