Super Eagles Starting XI Against Russia – Uche Starts, Okoye In Goal

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has picked his starting lineup for today’s friendly game against Russia in Moscow, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chelle who led the team to the Unity Cup title last will roll an almost totally different lineup from the one that started against Jamaica in the 5-4 penalty kicks win after a 2-2 draw in the final of the tournament in England.

We can exclusively reveal that Udinese shot stopper Maduka Okoye will be in goal for the game with Getafe midfielder Uche Chrisantus who impressed in the few minutes he played against Jamaica handed his full debut from the start.

Captain William Troost-Ekong will return to partner Semi Ajayi in the heart of the defence with Bright Osayi-Samuel starting at right back while Bruno Onyemaechi will be on the other side.

Bar a late change of mind, this is how the team will line up for today’s game, which will be played by 6pm Nigerian time.

Maduka Okoye – Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Semi Ajayi, William Troost-Ekong – Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Moses Simon, Uche Christantus, Victor Boniface.
