Portuguese giants FC Porto have drawn up the list of players who are not in the plans of coach Martin Anselmi for next season after their exit from the club world cup, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Porto were knocked out in the group stages after drawing two games and losing one in their group. They have wasted no time in getting their plans right on time for next season’s camp where they aim to wrestle the league title from Sporting Lisbon.
A nine man list was leaked by Portuguese news outlet Abola and it has the name of Nigeria international left back Zaidu Sanusi, who is yet to fully recover from an ACL injury that kept him out of the team for almost 18 months.
He didn’t play a single minute for the team at the club world cup and with two years left on his deal, the club has decided to cut him loose alongside eight others. The idea is to have their representative look for an alternative for them very early into the transfer window.
