Young Chelsea winger Coby Ebere has signed a fresh two-year deal keeping him at Everton till the summer of June 2027, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Ebere who signed his first professional contract at the club three years ago joined the club at the age of 11 progressing through the various youth ranks up to the U21s.
“I’m buzzing to extend my deal, based on the fact I’ve had a hard 18 months,” Ebere told evertonfc.com.
“It shows the Club has got faith in me – and I know I can repay it.
“I really enjoyed being back on the pitch with the guys [in the second half of the season] and Taity has been really good with me, working in detail and getting me back to where I need to be.
“We’ve got a great group of players in the Under-21s and hopefully we can show that.
“The aim now is to get as many games as possible, and get as close to the first team as I can.”
Meanwhile in an interview last year, the 19 year old confirmed his eligibility for three separate countries at senior level, but he hasn’t been capped at any level by any of the nations.
” I was born in Germany to Nigerian parents and grew up in England. So playing for any of the above countries is an option that I have but to be honest I haven’t thought about any for now. My aim is to make the step up to the main team of Everton”, he said.
