
Young Leicester City defender Olabade Aluko who made his first team debut in the English Premier League last season has picked playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of England, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
18 year old Aluko who was born in England to parents of Nigerian descent made his intention known to the coaches of the Nigeria U20 team of his intentions in February this year, but wasn’t called up to the team.
He went ahead to make his debut in the English Premier League last season playing the final minute of their 0-2 loss to Bournemouth in the final game of last season.
Now firmly established as a member of the squad in preparation for their campaign in the English Championship next season. The full back has once again reiterated his dreams of playing for Nigeria and not England.
His representatives have already made contacts with the NFF with Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi who is his teammate also involved in some capacity.
