Inter Milan have won the race for the signing of Nigeria international forward Ademola Lookman from fellow Serie A side Atalanta after agreeing a deal worth €50 million, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Spanish news outlet Sport report that a fee of €45 million fixed and €5 million have been agreed for the transfer of the 27 year old, who is the reigning Africa player of the year.
According to the report, it effectively bring to an end any plans of Atletico Madrid signing the forward who was also linked to them. They say the deal is expected to be made official in the coming days.
Lookman who picked up a calf injury in training is expected to have a routine medical ahead of a possible confirmation of the deal. It is believed that the injury isn’t as bad as initially feared.
