Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle already know the players he will call up to the team when the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup resumes with games against Rwanda and South Africa respectively.
Nigeria will be hoping that FIFA take a quick decision on the case of South Africa fielding an ineligible player in the world cup qualifiers game against Lesotho before both games. A three points and three goals deduction is usually the punishment for such offence.
Staying focused on his team Chelle has already drawn up the players he intends to use to prosecute both games, which will be crucial to the chances of Nigeria making it to the tournament, as they are currently six points behind group leaders South Africa.
” If the games is for tomorrow. I can tell you the team I will play is already in my head because I have watched my players and know them a bit better than last time”, the coach said in a conversation with reporters after a test game with the CHAN Eagles.
” We go into both games needing to win and that’s you should be what our preparation will be all about and hopefully we will get the results that we want”, he concluded.
