
Newly signed Hamburg defender Jordan Torunarigha says he will go into the German Bundesliga season with an eye on making the squad of the Super Eagles for the upcoming world cup qualifiers games against Rwanda and South Africa respectively.
Born in Germany to parents of Nigerian descent, he represented Germany at various youth levels, before making a switch of nationality to play for the Super Eagles at senior level.
Torunarigha who was a late replacement for the injured Nathan Tella in the Super Eagles squad for the games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe respectively, during the last round of games didn’t get to play in any of the games.
He joined German side Hamburg on a free transfer from Belgium side Gent in the ongoing summer transfer, and he has his sight on making the Super Eagles team for the next round of games in the world cup qualifiers in September, and hopefully add to his solitary cap for the team.
” It’s my dream to stamp my feet in the team. Now I am back in the Bundesliga and looking forward to performances that will make the coach to consider me in his squad for as early as the next round of games”, the 27 year old said.
