22 year old Nosa Obaretin has been included by coach Antonio Conte in the pre season squad of Napoli as they step up preparation for the defence of their Italian Serie A title.

He spent last season on loan to Serie B side Bari and made 25 appearances with one assists. The club monitored his progress and Conte want to give him the chance to stake a claim in the team for next season.

Nosa plays majorly as a center back but he can also operate on either side of the defence as a full back. He joined the club in 2022 from AC Milan and started off from the U19s.

Born in Italy to parents of Nigerian descent, he is open to commiting his international future to Nigeria but he hasn’t been capped by any of the country he is eligible to represent.

All of that could however change if he gets his breakthrough at Napoli next season.
