The future of Nigeria international forward Sadiq Umar at Spanish side Real Sociedad is still up in the air despite joining the team in full training ahead of the start of next season, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
A flight hitch delayed his arrival at their training base, but he has been fully integrated into the training methods of the team under new coach Sergio Francisco despite his uncertain future.
He rejected offers from the likes of Besiktas and Samsunspor in Turkey and also wants sold out on a return to Almeria. Elche made a loan offer which was rejected by Real Sociedad.
According to Superdeporte, Valencia where he spent the second half of last season on loan are monitoring his situation and will likely return for him, if they are able to complete some transfer out of the club.
They had a €9 million option of making his stay permanent, but opt against it despite his goal return of six in 19 games. The idea is not to exercise the option of signing him permanently but to wait and try with another loan offer close to the end of the transfer window in the event that he is available.
