Young defender Josh Nichols made the squad of Arsenal for their pre season camp after fully recovering from the injury that brought a premature end to his season last term out, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The 18 year old made his first team debut in the 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Bolton Wanderers last season playing the entire duration of the game from his favourite position as a right back.
A surgery saw him miss the remainder of the season. He has however fully recovered from the setback and was a part of the squad for the recently concluded pre season camp in Spain.
He kept his spot in the team for another pre season tour of Singapore, where they will play against AC Milan and Newcastle before heading to Hong Kong to face Tottenham.
His mother in an interview last season, spoke about his Nigerian roots and the fact that he is also eligible for England and also Guyana.
She said his international future will be based on the country that first hand him a call up.
