CHAN Eagles Pick Up Third Consecutive Win In Test Games

The B team of the senior national team of Nigeria populary called the CHAN Eagles picked up a comfortable 3-1 win over Nigeria Premier Football League side Ikorodu City in a test game.

Head coach Eric Chelle who had to travel home to France to attend to a pressing commitment was present for the game although, the team were prepared by his assistant Hadi Taboubi.

They fell behind very early into the game, but wasted no time in drawing level through Nduka Junior. A score that remained the same as both teams head into the dressing room for the half time break.

Six minutes after the hour mark Anthony Ijoma put the CHAN Eagles ahead for the first time in the game. Sikiru Alimi put the game to bed with the third goal with 12 minutes left to play in the game.

It was the third consecutive win for the Nigerian team, who will be taking part in the CHAN tournament starting in August. For the first time, the tournament will be hosted by three countries in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
