English Premier League side Brentford have announced the permanent transfer of 18 year old Nigerian striker Emeka Peters to Dutch League giants Feyenoord, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Signed on a two year scholarship from Fulham in 2023, he decided to take the route of going to the Netherlands as the next step in his career development.
In his debut season with Brentford he was was part of the Under-18s side that won the Merit League Two title during the 2023/24 campaign, gaining valuable experience in a competitive environment.
Last season he had an impressive campaign in the Under-18s Professional Development League, finishing as the team’s most productive player. Operating from wide areas, Peters scored 14 goals and provided six assists.
Born in England to parents of Nigerian descent, he is eligible for both countries but hasn’t been capped at any level. A situation that could change if he makes headway at his new club.
