Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has axed six players from the B team of the Nigerian team after making official his final list of players for the tournament.
Notably the exclusion of Kano Pillars midfielder Zayyad Musa took everyone by surprise, considering the role he played in helping the team qualify for the tournament, alongside Jide Fatokun who left for Sudanese side Al Merreikh, hence became ineligible.
Ayomide Cole (Ikorodu City), Joseph Atule (Enyimba), Kabiru Muhammad (Kwara United), Aniekeme Okon ( Rivers United) and Aminu Umar complete the list of players, who didn’t make it to the 23 man list from the 35 provisional list of players.
