The new coach of AC Milan Massimo Allegri has moved Nigeria international winger Samuel Chukwueze to a new role in his bid to get the best out of the Nigerian, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Since joining the club two summers ago, Chukwueze has failed to match the same number that made them pay over €20m to sign him from Villareal.
He has just 8 goals and six assists in 69 games in all competitions since joining the club. So poor a return that he is tipped for an exit with the coming of Allegri as coach.
However, the decision to play him in a new role as seen in the 0-1 pre season defeat to Arsenal might see him have a future at the club, particularly if makes the best out of it.
Chukwueze was deployed as a right wing back upon his introduction as a substitute, and completed the game playing in that unfamiliar position.
During a ceremonial penalty kick to round up the game , he was one of the few players of the Italian side who were able to beat Kepa Arrizabalaga to earn his side the win.
