Head coach of AC Milan Massimo Allegri has approved a first team midfield role for Nigeria U20 midfielder Victor Eletu in the first team of the club, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The midfielder signed an extension to his stay at the club last week shunning advances ftom top teams around Europe, who were keen on signing him as a free agent.
In their proposal to the 20 year old, they promised him a path to the first team, and have so far kept to it with game time against Leeds United and Chelsea respectively.
He did enough to convince the coach that he deserves a spot in the midfield as a potential replacement for Luka Modric, when the maestro hangs his boot in two years time.
Eletu will get more training time with the first team, even though he will play games with the U23s to keep him match fit.
