The camp of the senior national team of Nigeria has been rocked by the news that Semi Ajayi won’t be available for the upcoming world cup qualifiers game against Rwanda and South Africa respectively, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Hull City confirmed via an announcement that the defender who joined them in the summer will be out of action for at least six weeks after picking up a hamstring injury against Coventry.

Ajayi, who delivered a dominant display at Coventry City on Saturday, reported some discomfort in his hamstring after the game in the Midlands.

While the initial prognosis suggested it was not serious, with him left out of City’s Carabao Cup exit at Wrexham as a precaution, a scan has revealed further damage and it’s expected he’ll miss the next four to six weeks

The timescale suggest he won’t be available for the available for the games against Rwanda on the 6th of September before traveling to take on league leaders South Africa on the 9th.
