The senior national team of Nigeria had their final training session ahead of tomorrow’s world cup qualifiers game against Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Head coach Eric Chelle took charge of the session which lasted for over an hour with all of the invited players taking part including Ademola Lookman, who is suspended for the game after picking a yellow card in the 2-0 win over Lesotho on Friday.
From what we observed, the emphasis is on attacking with different variations and also making best use of set pieces. It’s largely why they had a shooting session and also practice headers.
Top striker Victor Osimhen caught the eyes with his sharpness during the shooting drills with all of his efforts on target. He was also deadly with his headers when they did a session that had balls crossed for the forwards.
Crystal Palace new signing Uche Chrisantus was however the best with his headers, with the use of his physical prowess and leap making it very easy for him to meet crosses with ease.
