Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has picked the player who will start for the senior national team of Nigeria in today’s world cup qualifiers game against Benin Republic in Uyo, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The coach kept faith with most of the players who started the 2-1 win over Lesotho on Friday, but made changes in attack with the suspended Ademola Lookman replaced by Samuel Chukwueze.

Chukwueze will be part of a four man attack with Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen and Jerome Akor who starts today after scoring on his debut as a substitute against Lesotho.

In defence is where the coach made a huge call with captain William Troost-Ekong dropping to the bench for Semi Ajayi, who was a substitute in the last game.

Ajayi will pair Calvin Bassey, with Zaidu Sanusi likely to start ahead of Bruno Onyemaechi after his cameo appearance on Friday. Benjamin Fredrick keeps his spot at right back.

The midfield will also remain unchanged with the duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi as anchor. However the creative responsibility of the team will rest on the shoulders of Iwobi.
