Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has already sent out provisional invitation to players who will be a part of the team for the upcoming world cup qualifiers playoff in Morocco, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria will be up against Gabon on the 13th of November in the world cup qualifiers playoff mini tournament, the winner of the tie will play either Cameroon or Congo Dr who will play the second semi final.
Ahead of the games, Chelle sent out provisional letter of invitation to 35 players which will be reduced to 25, a week before the team departs for Morocco.
” We have two new players in the provisional list. The idea is to have at least 25 players as against the 23 that we usually call to camp. It’s a tournament so the number has to be higher than just a game or two”, a member of Chelle’s backroom staff revealed in an exclusive conversation.
He however refused to divulged the names of the two new players, but according to what we gathered from another source on loan Inter Milan midfielder Ebenezer Akinsamiro who was outstanding for Pisa in their 2-2 draw against AC Milan made the list.
Chelle is said to be a huge fan of the 20 year old who has played seven games for his team this season in the Serie A with an assist to his name.
