
When the camp of the senior national team of Nigeria for the world cup qualifiers playoff officially opens on Sunday, the captain William Troost-Ekong is expected to be the earliest to arrive alongside some others, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Ekong who plays for Saudi Arabia outfit Al Kholood was in action yesterday for the entire duration of their O-4 defeat to Al-Qadisiyah. He is expected to depart for the camp in Morocco tomorrow.
It is the same for Moses Simon who was also on show for Paris FC in their 0-1 defeat to Rennes earlier today. New defender Benjamin Fredrick also played the entire duration of FC Dender’s 2-2 draw against Zulte Waregem.
The trio of Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze are also expected to be in early on Sunday as they will be in action on Saturday. Training for the first game against Gabon on the 13th will begin on Monday evening.
Head coach Eric Chelle and the rest of the technical crew are expected to be in Morocco tomorrow to receive the players.
