
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has made public the list of players called up by head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle for the upcoming world cup qualifiers playoff in Morocco, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria will begin their quest to pick a ticket to represent Africa at the continental playoff next year in Mexico with a game against Gabon on the 13th.
They will be hoping for a win which will take them to the final where they will be up against the winner of the other semi final between Cameroon and Congo Dr.
Chelle called up 24 players with five players led by Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye making a return to the team. The others are Bright Osayi-Samuel, Chidozie Awaziem, Childera Ejuke and Raphael Onyedika.
The above mentioned players were not part of the squad for the last round of international games , where Nigeria defeated Lesotho 2-1 before a 4-0 thrashing of Benin Republic, which handed them a play off spot.
There was no spot for Uche Chrisantus of Crystal Palace and also FC Voloz of Greece goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye.
