Players of the senior national team of Nigeria are unhappy with the quality of where they will be staying for the world cup qualifiers playoff in Morocco, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
So far ten players are in the camp of the team ahead of their first game on the 13th against Gabon. A further 11 players are expected to be in camp before today’s training session, which will be their first in the build up.
However the players and backroom staff who have already arrived in Morocco have been unhappy with the environment, where they are lodged and have voiced out their concerns.
Three of them that we spoke with following a video by Alex Iwobi confirmed that it’s like staying in a hostel back in the days, when they were in school.
They said construction work is going on close to where they are lodged, and they have to deal with stained walls and patchy ceilings. Also there are other guests lodged in the same poor facility.
Already the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have been contacted and their concerns have been forwarded to FIFA via CAF. Although the players feel the NFF are also culpable for not sending an advance party to check on the facility.
