Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has made just one change to the starting lineup for today’s world cup playoff game against Gabon, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Suspended defender Semi Ajayi and winger Moses Simon drops out of the starting lineup with two new players in Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ademola Lookman coming in.
Osayi-Samuel comes in at right back with Benjamin Fredrick, who played in the position against Benin Republic reverting to his preferred role in centre back .
The midfield remains the same with Wilfred Ndidi pairing Alex Iwobi. The attack will be the quartet of Jerome Akor, Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze playing behind the main man Victor Osimhen.
It will be a flat 4-4-2 formation similar to the one used against Benin Republic in the final group game, where they won 4-0. Chukwueze will function as the right winger with Lookman playing from the left.
