Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has made just one change to the starting lineup for today’s world cup playoff game against Gabon, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Barring a last minute change of plans, there is only one change from the team that defeated Benin Republic 4-0 in their final group game of the world cup qualifiers with Semi Ajayi absent through suspension.
In his place Bright Osayi-Samuel comes in at right back with Benjamin Fredrick, who played in the position against Benin Republic reverting to his preferred role in centre back. The duo of Calvin Bassey and Zaidu Sanusi completes the back four.
The midfield remains the same with Wilfred Ndidi pairing Alex Iwobi. The attack will remain unchanged with the quartet of Jerome Akor, Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze playing behind the main man Victor Osimhen.
It will be a flat 4-4-2 formation.
