The method used by the head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle in picking his starting lineup for today’s AFCON opening game against Tanzania has been made known to OwnGoalNigeria.com.
Super Eagles will open their campaign against the Taifa Stars today , aiming to go a step further than they did like term out when they finished as runners up under former coach Jose Peseiro.
Chelle has already picked his starting lineup for today’s game, and in a chat with our reporter he explained how he came about the choice of players for today’s game.
” It depends on how we want to play and who we are playing. First of all to be a part of the group you have to be playing at your club, or be a part of the team. It’s very important because of the way we play and what we want to build using the game project”, he explained.
” In training we look at the response to instructions, the commitment to doing what we want and how we intend to prosecute the game, and who can help us in certain moments especially in a tournament like the AFCON”, the coach stated.
