Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle says he won’t be drawn into the heated exchange that happened between Victor Osimhen and his teammate Ademola Lookman during the Super Eagles 4-0 win over Mozambique, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria’s convincing win was over shadowed by the behaviour of the Galatasaray striker, who was booed by fans when he was subbed off for Moses Simon.

Osimhen who scored a brace in the game, with Ademola Lookman and Akor Adams rounding up the convincing win for Nigeria, but it was over shadowed by a bust up between Osimhen and Lookman.

Angry at the decision of Bruno Onyemaechi not to pass the ball to him in a promising position, Osimhen was told to calm down by Lookman who was also at the receiving end of a verbal rant by Osimhen a few minutes earlier.

His attempt to quell the disagreement was rebuffed by Osimhen, who had to be held by his teammates from going physical with Lookman, he subsequently stopped playing and asked to be subbed off.

”What happened on the pitch will stay in the group, I don’t need to tell you what will happen, I keep that to me”, the coach said in response to the altercation between the duo.
