Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has turned his back on advances from two African teams in Angola and Gabon in favour of staying on as the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Chelle’s contract which runs till 2027 was a huge concern after he failed to meet the target of reaching the final of the recently concluded AFCON, but the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) saw enough to keep him in his job.

The only option would have been if the coach decided to walk away, but he has committed his future to Nigeria despite receiving interesting proposals from the above mentioned countries.
