Transfer: Another Nigerian Ayodele Thomas Close In On Move To RB Leipzig

Hot on the heels of the transfer of Sani Suleiman to German side RB Leipzig, the club is close to completing the transfer of another Nigerian in the ongoing January transfer window, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

19 year old Sani Suleiman made a record January transfer to the German side from Slovakian side As Trenčín, and has already have a taste of the team’s demands in training after joining up this week.

Recent reports indicate that the club have agreed modalities for the transfer of 18 year old Ayodele Thomas from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, with only details like if they should proceed with the deal in the January transfer window for a minimal fee, or wait for the summer when he will be available on a free.

Born in the Netherlands to parents of Nigerian descent, the left winger has already represented the Netherlands at various levels of youth football but still remains eligible for Nigeria at senior level.

Yet to make a first team appearance for the Dutch side, he has shown enough promise playing for the U21, where he has impressed with four goals and seven assists in 19 games.
