English Premier League side Brentford are demanding £10m for the transfer of Nigeria international midfielder Frank Onyeka after his display at the AFCON, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Onyeka is keen on an exit from the team in January owing to lack of minutes, and he feels at 28 this could be his best chance of getting a good financial rewarding move, and he isn’t prepared to wait till the summer.
Brentford who were initially opened to his exit for a fee as low as £6m are now demanding that Interested teams bring a package worth £10m. A fee that has so far scared potential suitors away.
The club feels his performance at the AFCON, where he was ever present for Nigeria who finished third at the tournament, should naturally increase his markert value hence their new valuation.
Coventry City, Sheffield United and LaLiga side Valencia have said to have sounded out Brentford on the possibility of a loan , but were told an outright sale is what the club will consider in January.
